i’m not a fan. he does think he’s at a different/higher level. anyone that has dealt with him in person should know what i’m talking about. good for him for getting where he is at but he’s forgotten where he came from and maybe the fact that we are all equal. doesn’t matter what job you hold or how much you make. those things don’t make you any better than the next person.

I remember around 1978-80, when Ed got an invite to the Oakland Raiders NFL camp after his senior year at MSU. Ed would call into the morning radio show that he did with Jim Adelson (at that time) and talk about how he and Kenny Stabler did this and that together. “Best buds” is how Ed tried to milk this one. A couple of weeks after he had got cut- Sid Hartman happened to run into Stabler and asked about Schultz. Stabler looked at him quizzically and said “who???”

Ed shot his dog in an alleged hunting accident near Cayuga, ND. Rumor has it that his dog wasn’t behaving appropriately and decided to “pepper the dog” but in the end a local vet had to put him down. That’s why its so hard to listen to Ed chastise Dick Cheney for his hunting accident.

According to Ed’s hunting buddies way back then his dog got itself shot when it didn’t perform well enough retrieving for him. Ask anyone from the time period he went to school Ed was known throughout the town for using the same pick up line 100 times every night, “hi my name’s Ed Schultz, I’m the starting quarterback for MSU, so you going to blank me or what?” I’ve seen him personally screaming f u comments to a 6th grade boys football team that he felt were wimps and not doing what he told them well enough! Yes little kids. He somehow avoided prosecution when he ran an old couple off of I29 with his RV because he drives like to talks, loud and sloppy. He abused and cheated on his first and great wife Maurine. I assume he does the same with the current one. And just ask around about throwing bottles or driving on the sidewalk type topics. We could do this for hours. Oh yeah, he lived for trashing liberals for over two decades up until he found a job that would pay him to be a loudmouth liberal. Now he plays that role. What does this say about the people who listen to him and give him his radio ratings? Unbelievable the gene pool could be that shallow but someone obviously listens to him.

OK, I will pat Ed on the back. No doubt about it he has been successful. If we want to talk logic, how is Bernie Madoff any different then our Government in relation to Social Security? There is no question that Social Security monies brought in by the fed’s goes right to the general treasury where for years has been spent foolishly from all politicians in Washington. Ed Schultz ruled the roost at KFGO all those years and no one lifted a finger when he had one of his rants.
Now, he’s got bosses that don’t back down to no one. Not even to the “Big Redhead.”
The NBC execs absolutely did the right thing in this situation. If Eddie shoots his mouth off again, he’s fired. If that happens, you know he’s going to come crawling back to the Fargo-Moorhead area.

I too have first hand knowledge of Ed’s abusive ways. He’s stepped on many to get where he is today. I’ve always been amazed that not one of his past employers did anything about it. Instead they rewarded him, whether it was a better job, a motor home, free reign over whatever he does at the expense of other people and of course more money. I think Ed’s true colors just came out at MSNBC — he has always like to be in control of everything and everyone around him and doesn’t care how he treats anyone.
