Bristol Palin is coming to Fargo-Moorhead.

What a dysfunctional family. Why is anyone paying any attention to them? Abstinence? How about birth control? That works better. But anything for money, correct?

Way to cash in on that unprotected sex, Bristol!

The thousands of dollars they spent for getting her hear to speak could have been used for this center in many other more beneficial ways.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 151 49
Will the Palin’s ever be out of our lives forever. Maybe she could make more money if she posed nude, like her boyfriend did. Or, maybe they both could get into porn movies, now theres where the money is. Sarah could be their manager. Hey, it could finance Sarah’s campaign for president.

The standards of what constitutes a celebrity have evidently gotten pretty low. Any fame is good fame I guess.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 132 38
You know the society is in trouble when it starts to admire the societies derelicts.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 119 36
We have John McCain to blame for this. He unleashed the beast and we are all paying dearly.

You know people, if Chelsea Clinton was coming to raise money for a good cause I would welcome her even though her dad is a complete P.O.S. If John Edwards child came, I would give the same response even though their dad would be a good candidate for the worst person of the year award. Not everything is about politics but sadly the left has to inject it in everything, even ripping on someone coming to our community to raise money to help unwed mothers.

Viking says it well. Chelsea and Bristol both have parents that they can’t be proud of, but at least their trying to do something with their lives.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 52 88
Main difference, of course, is that Chelsea hasn’t undermined her father’s moral political rhetoric with poor personal decisions.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 112 44
Flawed comparison. Her father would need to have morals in place for Chelsea to violate them.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 59 88
I said moral political rhetoric.
I wouldn’t claim either Bill or Sara to have any kind of actual moral superiority, which is what you seem to be implying.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 49 33
Still a flawed comparison, even with your false interpretation of my post.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 27 54
Not impeccable marty, but still better than Bill or Sarah.
As to Vertigo, not sure why you would claim the interpetation is incorrect. You state Bill had no morals, which means the only way the comparison could be flawed is if you believe Sarah has high morals. But if you insist that it is flawed, I could also claim that Chelsea didn’t violate Sarah’s morals in the way that Bristol did.
Hot debate. What do you think? 32 18
So Sarah’s preaching of “no sex before marriage”, despite her own past (getting knocked up by the “First Dude”, although to her credit-at least they eloped and got married) doesn’t count as “not having morals in place”? The apple didn’t fall far from the tree here.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 80 37
I think that if Chelsea were to violate her fathers morals she would be doing pretty well, as the opposite of poor morals would be good ones wouldn’t they???
Hot debate. What do you think? 27 17
There is no way you can undermine anything with or about Bill Clinton, the sleaziest man to ever occupy the White House.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 32 63
Apparently you were asleep between 2001 to 2009
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 71 28
Chelsea also wasn’t a passing “15 minutes of fame” person … she was the child of a President who served 8 years, there’s a reason for her name recognition. Bristol is the child of a (insert adjective of choice here) woman who can only dream of being President and in the meantime has been a 1/2 term governor.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 116 35
For those wondering, according to the StarTribune, Bristol charges up to $30K per speaking appearance.
The Perry Center claims they are paying her “much less” but don’t give an actual number.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 64 14
Rumors are that Bristol will be on the next Dancing with the Stars. The official announcement comes in Mid Sept so this speaking in Oct may be in the middle of that whole media circus too.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 43 17
Bristol will be dancing all the way to the bank, keep giving, the Palins are playing you all for fools!
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 79 23
And like the rest of the fools in America that watch these shows you’ll be glued to the tv.
Hot debate. What do you think? 27 33
Pathetic or not, there are more unwed mothers than ever now. Any help is welcome. This whole Palin thing is also pathetic, but a way of life now in this country. People cannot control themselves and the children are the ones who have to pay for it.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 45 15
I suspect in the next 2 or 3 weeks there will be an announcement of a conflict of scheduling and Ms Palin will not visit after all. Just a hunch.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 56 14
Let’s trash Obama’s daughters! That will show how the new civility works.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 26 76
The new civility? The Palin’s brought this upon themselves. When you wave the moral finger at people and preach about moral supremacy and then do the opposite- then it becomes a problem. The Palins- whether it be Sarah or Bristol- couldn’t seem to keep their panties on prior to marriage, while extolling the virtues of “no sex before marriage”.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 78 25
You either don’t have kids or are a very lucky person. Sad, but lucky.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 20 49
Scooter, I don’t want civility. I want to wake up one morning years from now and hear how one of Obama’s kids is in jail or rehab. Then I can bash Obama even more for it. That’s politics as created by you liberals.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 17 66
Liberal??? I’m far from it. Just still stinging over McCain losing the election by making Palin his running mate. The only thing that Obama has managed to do is make “W” the 2nd worst President of all time. “W”‘s tenure in that role was short lived- thanks to Obama.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 13 50
Hate to tell you but almost every election experts on both sides of the coin agree that without Palin on the ticket that McCain would have lost by even a larger margin. There was no Republican short of a reincarnated Lincoln that could have won after Bush.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 53 13
Time will tell.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 23 56
bob, don’t worry. We will find a reason to ridicule them. I am sure they make mistakes and when they do we will be there to remind them of it for life. Liberals like hurting Palin’s children. Even the one with Down’s Syndrome. It used to be that this was considered foul by everyone, but the new Democrat party thrives on such things.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 31 62
Zardy, you probably don’t remember bash bimbaugh calling Chelsea Clinton the White House Dog. That is where it all started. You reap what you sow. Anyone who stoops so low as to call a young innocent girl a dog is not a man. He is a pathetic loser. Maybe you can sympathize with bambag. I bet you can.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 83 22
I think the only ‘bashing’ the Palins received in connection with their son was that people thought it was totally inappropriate to be dragging that poor baby around the country like some kind of prop.
He was out late a night and subjected to the chaos and noise of large crowds constantly.
No baby, handicapped or otherwise should be used like that.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 48 16
It remains to be seen, of course, I suspect that it will be quickly aborted as the Great O, wouldn’t want his daughters PUNISHED by an unplanned pregnancy. He’s already made is position clear.
I dare say a significant portion of AMERICA was an OOPS. Perhaps their mothers should have just aborted THEM, instead of being a responsible person and taking care of their “mistakes”. The way most of you people make it sound, that baby is WORTHLESS unless it’ is created within someone else’s DEFINED perfect situation.
Who are you people to JUDGE? Get a freakin’ life and stop looking down your brown nose. Nothing but a bunch of worthless hypocrites!
I wonder what the actual number of people here, post negative comments that could mirror their OWN conception, or, describe their own child’s predicaments? I doubt that they play the moral tough guy and kick their kid to the curb, or berate their child endlessly for an unwed pregnancy. How many Grandparents out there refused to LOVE their new grandchild because it was a product of less than “desireable” circumstances? SHAME on them if they ignore their own flesh and blood for some idiotic political reason.
it’s about the money…you people can’t stand that she might make a DIME to support herself or her child.
Way to go though…for the all inclusive party of the people, Liberal Democrats sure do look down on their own party supporters. Do single mothers care that you people talk trash about them? Guess not, just give them a bunch of programs, using tax dollars, to buy those votes. WTG, social policy at work, one welfare check at a time.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 19 48
Anger management? I’ve known many people who have been in Bristol’s unwed mother’s shoes. If they had any idea of the NASTY comments made by people as to the nature of their predicament, I dare say there would be more anger coming from them…aimed at every hypocrite in here.
Of course, it’s a conservative young woman, it’s fair game to ridicule her for something that 750,000 teen girls every year do…get knocked up without the presence of an I Do prior to the conception.
Care to take a stab at the political affilation of those young girls…or their parents? I wonder what those numbers are…anyone ever seen a comparison done?
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 12 28
How many of the 750,000 girls that get pregnant out of wedlock go on tour to make a fortune out of it? Nobody cares what political affilation they have. I’m sure most of them don’t even know how they are going manage. They don’t have a governer as a parent to back them up.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 28 8
That’s EX-governer that jumped ship and abandoned the people of her state halfway through her term…
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 28 10
i’m not sure what Bristol can say. The only common thing I see is a pregnancy. She is a child of priviledge and most of the others are more than likely poor unfortunates who made a mistake too. MAybe the best thing Bristol can do is to say nothing.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 58 14
Child of privilege! Palin was middle class. Obama’s daugher’s live like little princesses. SIX vacations so far this year for the Obama clan.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 18 42
Geeze, what is with all the jealousy? Also, what’s up with the sanctimonious remarks regarding her having had sex and becoming pregnant. Obviously, in a perfect world, it is best to wait until marriage but how many of us actually did that? This young lady did the best she could with a very uncomfortable situation. She chose to carry her baby and not butcher and kill it. For that, at LEAST, people should show some respect for her. I am disgusted with 99% of you people. Let those without sin cast the first stone. It sure won’t be me.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 26 58
Love North Dakota, no one is casting stones at Miss Palin. The criticism surrounds the sensibility of paying a young woman of privilege, who is clearly capitalizing on her 5 minutes of fame and unplanned pregnancy; to raise funds for an organization who has spent decades helping unwed mothers who have absolutely no where else to turn.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 55 14
The key words are “…to raise funds for an organization who has spent decades helping unwed mothers…” What in the WORLD is wrong with that? Also, is it a requirement for an unwed mother to be poor, white trash? Just because she ISN’T does not disqualify her from trying to help educate other young women.
Hot debate. What do you think? 30 21
surely if she wants to help, she should donate back back her fee to speak. You are confusing volunteer work ( helping ) with profit in Bristol’s checking acct.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 49 12
Her parents money is of no concern to you. Your jealousy of the Palin family is hilarious. Bristol has every right to earn a buck. She’s a new, single mother. Since when is a person’s parents’ money automatically their money? Since never.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 13 33
Palin’s money use to be the repub’s money before she conned them out of it. A sucker and their money are so departed. Hurrah Palin’s, suck them fools dry!
Like or Dislike: 17 12
Just like the Jim Bob Dugger, Kate Gosselin, and her momma, another nobody trying to take advantage of a few fleeting moments of fame and looking like an idiot in doing so. Then she goes on dancing with the stars and she has appeared on some gossip column tv programs. She could probable also go on “Extreme Makeover”, “I’m 16 and pregnant”, and “Biggest Loser”. The apple never falls very far from the tree, does it?
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 53 16
It’s not jealousy, it’s disgust that people think she can actually deliver any kind message, and it’s not about the money. Do you think Bill Clinton was the only president to have sex in the White House?
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 50 13
anti, he may have been the only one to have it with a teenage intern. Gee, what happened to the feminists who are upset when men in power take advantage of powerless young women? Is that why you hate Palin? She is a strong woman who is also feminine. Plus the fact that she didn’t abort her child?
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 13 39
That’s exactly what these hate-spewing liberals dispise. A strong, young woman who carries her unplanned BABY to term instead of butchering the baby and sucking the pieces out of her. Strong, beautiful women who can wear Cat and Carhartt and still look hot….there’s nothing those effete lib guys and the butch lib “womyn” hate more.

So . . . dozens of comments over the course of two days sharing opinions of why Miss Palin may not be the best representative of young women in crisis pregnancy situations who might need the services of The Perry Center. Yet not one single remark about why she would be a good representative for the disadvantaged women helped by The Perry Center. Not one. I never have ridiculed ANY political figure’s child, regardless of party. It’s just tasteless for “adults” (using that term loosely) to mock, make jokes about, or insult children. I especially disdain those who would publicly insult a mother using her baby, by photoshopping the face of an adversary onto the child and posting it on the net for the world to see, then DEFEND her actions like it’s perfectly OK to attack people using their kids.
If that is the “free speech” of the future, society is circling the drain. It’s only going to get uglier.

I see the small group of lynch mob mentality liberals are freaking out again. Wow they really must feel threatened by Sarah to go this far. Maybe they should try turning every issue in the world to a stupid slanderous attack on her family? Or yeah, they already did that. Evidently none of them had enough cognizant ability to hold a conversation so they had to resort to spewing baseless attacks against a 15 year old girl who got pregnant. Just ignore how president clinton played with his cigars when in office as that’s not relevant. But if somewhere a Republican had a daughter who made a bad choice as a kid let’s hang em! Do you even realize how weird your small group is? If you can’t see that I’d suggest a visit to Vision 20/20 of 13th avenue. They can help. When you have virtually nothing to stand on and need to go after people’s families you’ve proven a lack of intellect or basis. If the best you can do is make comments about God is punishing all Republicans who have health issues as an excuse you are the biggest loser in the class. If true then the democratic party who endorse baby killing must really be on God’s black list so that must be the fault of the world’s economic collapse, the BP oil disaster while your leader was in office and for storms on the sun. This thread is over 50% today made by a small group of wacko liberals who give Democrats a bad name! The abundance of trash posts make Limbaugh and Schultz look like cool, calm intelligent people. Either you’re a person of reasonable intelligence who can hold a conversation or not. There’s a large number here who cannot so they’re going after this girl and her family with slanderous attacks worse than National Geographic could ever dream up.

In his day, Dr. Perry was notorious for telling divorced women that he would no longer prescribe birth control for them because they should not be having sex. He was also well known for making single mothers pay, with pain, when they gave birth and he was the attending physician. He also was known for allowing his wife to become addicted to pain medications. He’s not someone I’d like to see honored.

Who in their right mind would want to go to any event to hear this jackwagon team say anything? Talk about our priorities taking a dump, the mindset of the hard core GOP shows a lapse in intelligence, but then again the hypocrisy has already been determined long ago. Those who use Bushes picture to identify themselves on this site are cheating themselves, try using Palins picture, now there was a gal who knew how to spend someone elses money, and you could always paint her lips with lipstick and carry a hockey stick if she actually knew what one looks like. You know, maybe she will talk about her encounters with Russia, and charge extra to hear that story? Oh wait McCain put a gag on her its classified! Well then there is Joe the plummer you could picture him backwards sporting the plummers crack, now that would really sum up the whole sorry GOP agenda, and get a big laugh out of all the readers as well. lol!

The thing I don’t understand is, how so many people choose to be blind to the fact that Palin’s words don’t match her actions.
She regularly touts smaller government, less government spending, not raising tax on business and she regularly chides Obama and ‘liberals’ for what she calls redistribution of wealth.
Palin is the QUEEN of wealth redistribution.
Under her leadership, Alaska got more federal dollars per capita than any state in the union.
For every dollar they paid in, they got back $1.76. And, they not only paid no state income or sales tax, they got paid from the state, just for living there.
And ‘we the people’ of the lower 48 were subsidizing them while they had a state budget surplus and the most of the rest of us were running budget deficits.
And of course, there’s the fact that she actually called the state legislature into a special Saturday session to vote on a tax increase for the energy producing companies working in Alaska that she supported.
Raising taxes on those companies when the state already had a budget surplus resulted in Alaskans getting a second check that year and more than likely, left the rest of us paying more for a gallon of gas to make up for the tax increase.
And of course, we all know she was a huge proponent of the Bridge to Nowhere, at least until the federal gov told her if she wanted it, Alaska would have to pay for it. THEN, she said thanks but, no thanks.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 34 10
If your reply was to me, that was neither hatred nor scarcasm…it was simply the facts.
Actually, as a governor, I think Palin did a good job. She raised taxes on business when she felt it was necessary to keep her state budget healthy and brought to her state as much federal money as possible. I think those are things we all want our governors to do.
I was disappointed when she quit the duties that she’d sworn to uphold, just to run around the country telling people how things ‘should’ be done while not having done those things herself. She should have stuck out her term and then gone after the big money instead of quitting to do it.
Unfortunately, she seems to be taking on all the trappings of a true politician.
I’m not the least bit nervous about her running in 2012 though. I honestly don’t think she’ll do it.
The only way Palin will run for office is if the money dries up from the speaking engagements.

Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 11 32
Actually, not a whole lot of trashing Miss Palin here. It seems to be mostly trashing people of differing opinion. Some think she’s a great representative for an organization serving young women in crisis pregnancies, others (like me) think she just may be capitalizing on her 3 minutes of fame and not have quite such altruistic motivations. And the fact that she may not resonate with Perry Center clients who have no place in this world to turn at this horrific time in their lives. Unless they too may get contracts on Dancing With The Stars!
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 27 8
“Horrific time in their lives?” Good God, what planet are you on? I have quite a few friends that experienced unplanned pregnancies in their teens. Not one of them has described it as “horrific.” Having a baby isn’t the end of the world – even if you’re not married yet.
Hot debate. What do you think? 12 20
It’s only horrific if the kid turns into a liberal.
Most children are liberals. They don’t turn into conservatives till they get old and crotchety .
Actually, growing up to be a conservative pretty much goes against everything we teach our children when they are young.
We teach them to respect people, no matter their color, religion or income, we teach them to help those less fortunate, we teach them to share what they have and if we take them to church, we teach them those bible verses about Judge not, Love one another, Whatsoever you do for the least of these, etc, etc, etc.
Well, I guess some of us teach their children those things anyway.

I’m happy that Bristol and the women you know had the moral, family and monetary support necessary so that being in that situation didn’t feel ‘horrific’.
I can tell you, from living at Booth Memorial, a Salvation Army home for unwed mothers, that many, many girls don’t have any of those things and indeed, the situation they find themselves in feels horrific at the time they are going through it.
And actually, it’s not really the poor girls that have the hardest time with it.
It’s the ones that are rich and who’s families have ‘social standing’ in the community. They are the ones who most often are sent far from home on ‘vacation’, forced to surrender their child for adoption and then go about their lives, pretending it never happened.
Poor girls are more apt to take it in stride, just one more pothole on an already bumpy road.

Having absolutely no one and no place in the world to turn but the Perry Center at this time of life seems about as close to horrific as I’d want to be.

My prayer is that Bristol Palin will indeed desire to be a private citizen. The more private the better, both for herself and her child.

My measured responses are only given in love, much like a father would correct a child that shows signs of being nothing but a witless twit liberal.

Rambo where do you find hate in these comments? I see hypocrisy but then again maybe that is a word you don’t understand? Do you think liberals are the only ones a little disgusted by the Palins so called messages that appear to be money in the bank? Reality TV rewards bad behavior and you know it, but because its Palin and her misguided daughter, people such as liberals are hating according to you. Look past your own nose pal, you couldn’t see a train coming even if you were facing in the same direction the train was coming. Rambo your upset because Palin is a GOP political figure, who has professed all these party values, made all these so called hockey mom claims, then blasted the left for supporting abortion, tax hikes and supporting birth control. Now its fine that her daugher gets pregnant out of wedlock, while she uses it for financial gain. Then people like you crucify Clinton, and Kennedy, while hard core self righteous conservatives such as Rush, pop oxy without a prescription, while Craig taps on the bathroom floors for some gay love, and Foley looks for sex with minor pages. We found Palin was never a hockey mom, or did she cap elk from a helicopter, which she claims in her book. We see the troopergate saga gets covered up, while she made some controversial comments while distorting the truth about certain issues and incidents. She went on a spending spree with the McCain CC, as she threw more mud then a construction site could! Then there is the tea party she claims to be peace loving, and non racist, even though incidents were published, and some people came forward disputing the claims of the upper class tea party funded apparently by big oil. The more Palin speaks, and stays in the lime light, the more both parties are figuring her out, so now why not make a reality show out of her daughter Bristol. Yes people are figuring her out, that is except for you Rambo. Like anything else money talks and that is Palins number one virtue.
