Man hurt in local blast gets skin grafts

A Mitchell man has begun the first of several skin graft treatments as he recovers from injuries suffered in a house explosion last week.
Jose Aguirre, 38, suffered second- and third-degree burns over 40 percent of his body and a partially collapsed lung in the Aug. 17 blast at his rented home at 718 E. Hanson Ave. Aguirre remained in critical condition Tuesday at Regions Hospital Burn Center in St. Paul, Minn., a hospital spokeswoman said. Continue Reading
