I can’t wait for a similar program to be established for gifted students who, likewise, need additional attention and the ability for tailored programs outside of the mainstream.
While I understand the need to create programs for the developmentally challenged (whether an innate disability or the result of socioeconomic woes) those who are gifted deserve the same treatment as the challenged. Why do the disabled get dedicated staff and teachers to assist them while the gifted are left to rot in classes taught at a level far below their aptitude?
