A UMD forestry and horticulture specialist has developed a smelly, peppery substance that he says keeps deer from eating plants and foliage.

I am not a believer. I have used liquid fence, nylon webbing and even chicken wire, and when the deer be hungry they still get to dem juniper bushes!

While this sounds great, if it only lasts 3 months it won’t do us much good for the winter season when most the animals eat our trees and plants.
