This could be an interesting article, illustrating some of the physical changes and methodology changes in our schools in the past half-century, building up to a great ending for the piece. I was let down, however, by a nice bit of poetry, “It is incumbent on our school leaders to light the untraveled path to a new and better way.” This phrase has a nice ring to it, and a feel-good warmness, but it doesn’t really say the same thing to every reader and therefore says nothing.
