Where do you see me defending Mark Dayton? I’d like you to copy and paste it, refresh our memories. Seems to me I’ve never had anything good to say about Dayton and I don’t plan to start now.

Seriously?
The article clearly says “attend a fundraiser with the Minnesota Trucking Association.”
What leads you to believe he’s not going?

This is a big disappointment. I devoted a half page of one of my July opinion pages to photos from a Republican rally, and said quite a few nice things about Emmer and his wife. Luckily I can retract what I said about Tom at a moment’s notice!

Attending a fundraiser instead of his constituents. Sounds like a perfect replacement for Pawlenty.

Randy, did I say Dayton? I’d like you to copy and paste it, refresh our memories. Pretty sure I said Libs. Anywho, if Dayton fits the mold…

You do, really? Could you point out the exact posts here where someone defends Mark Dayton?
Or is this just another case of people seeing what they want to see?

This is just another case of people seeing what they want to see. It’s an ongoing theme with repukers.
I think Margaret Anderson Kelliher was a better Dem candidate, but Dayton is still a better choice then Emmer Fudd.
‘Pubs bash Dems all the time, but their primary votes were dismal.

I will. I researched all the candidates. The ‘pubs have nothing useful to offer at this time. Have they ever?

I guess the two liberal kooks will just have to sit there at the debate and try out kook each other.

Hmmm, Dayton checked into rehab in 06 because of drinking problems. He was deemed by Time magazine as one of the top 5 worst senators. Looks kinda like the pot calling the kettle black as far as the mudslinging goes. Just for once I’d like to see how any of these clowns that run for office define the issues and their plans to solve the problem instead of discrediting each other.

I really don’t care about Time magazine’s opinion or even much about what happened that long ago.
I definitely agree with the dislike of the negative way campaigns are conducted these days.
When I see a campaign ad, I want the person to be able to tell me their vision/plan and why they are the best person to vote for, not just spend the whole time telling me what’s wrong with their opponent. I figure I can find that stuff out myself.
So far, Horner seems to be the only one that’s come out with anything even resembling any kind of actual plan to move us forward.
Emmer and Dayton have pretty much just relied on sound bites of…I’ll raise/lower taxes.

Have you looked at Emmer’s site? He doesn’t offer any solutions to any of the key issues. All his campaign is about is bashing Dayton. I’m sure the ‘pubs will vote for him just because he’s ‘one of their sheep.
Bashing the other candidate doesn’t do anything to solve any of the problems of MN.
I do like Dayton’s Tax and Budget ideas. Wealthy Minnesotans should be paying as much in taxes as the rest of us. At this point and time, they do not.
His job plan needs work. He doesn’t really have one.
It’s too bad that more people didn’t take the time to look into Margaret Anderson Kelliher.
She is an ideal candidate and has solid plans for all the issues I’m for. I think Dayton won based on name recognition. It was a very close race there between MAK and Dayton. Maybe next time. Pawlenty’s exit from office can’t be soon enough. Let’s hope Minnesotans are smart enough to not vote in another stupid ‘pub with no plan to help Minnesota.

Some of the statements on Emmer’s site scare me.
Eliminating corporate income tax and the minimum wage law just doesn’t make sense to me at all.
If you do away with the corporate income tax, that’s gotta mean that the revenue to make up for that will then have to come from ‘we the people’.
You can only cut government services so far before you end up with things like more bridges falling into rivers and LGA’s cut back or done away with…meaning all of our property taxes will have to go up in order to keep our city services.
How anyone could even consider lowering the minimum wage just boggles my mind.
That, to me, says Emmer really needs a reality check.
