Thank you for this letter, Dave. I’ve always agreed with the Commissioners that it doesn’t make sense to sink money into buildings that are inefficient and not set up to be office buildings. I also appreciate the fact that you pointed out everything else that factored into your decision. Jackson County cannot afford to lose 50 jobs and it makes more sense to keep the county offices in one spot and in the area with the most population. The whole county shouldn’t have to pay for a few people’s dream of preserving a building because they attended their first “boy/girl” dance there. Thank you for weighing all of the facts and doing what you were elected to do, which is making prudent decisions for your constituents even if some disagree with you. There are more people on your side than you know.
