WOW! This is so cool. I wish more time capsule would be placed inside corner stones of new buildings nowadays. Like maybe the new addition to the Cass County Court House.
When my mother sold her house, after my father passed on; I placed an envelope inside the bottom post of the stairway railing.
The lid of the post was loose so it could be opened easily. I wrote down when my father bought the house, 1947, and how much he paid for it, $6,000. I also wrote down all of my family names, ages and where they lived.
Then I thought; If I found an old envelope inside a old stairway railing post, I would wish to find some money inside of it. Therefore, not to disappoint the finder, if any, I placed a single one dollar bill inside the envelope.
I hope the new owner of the house, if they found this letter, will add their names and other information to it and return it into the railing post for future owners.
