Harold, for the last time. Please read slowly so you can get this straight. Govenor Tim P. has veto power. The Deocrats have a simple majority ( even though it is significant number) They do not have enough votes to override a veto by party lines. Yes Harold, there are over 200 members of the state legislature. 201 to be exact. Every time they tried to send a budget proposal to the Govenor with a tax increase, they were told he would veto. Only once could they muster enough non-partisan vote to override his veto, ( one you love to disagree with) members of his party were stripped of their party chairs as a (should we say) punishment for a non-parisan vote. Since that occurrance, there was no chance to attempt another override of a veto. Yes, it is a shame that we are going to face a tougher time for the next several years, but Harold, please be honest enough to at least place a good part of the blame where it has to be.
