I would not want a sex offender living no where near my home, but the fact is their everywhere. If there was an offender in my neighborhood, I would do everything in my power to force him out. They’re dangerous and often re-offend and the victims are often children. Keep em locked up!

As a mother of 2 teenage girls it terrifies me that there are offenders living in our neighborhoods. However, the offenders that are living on the streets, in tents, or in their cars terrify me more. They’re always mobile, the authorities have no way to monitor them, and if they’re not carefully monitered they could more easily re-offend. If the solution is for the city, county, or state to rent or purchase property for these offenders, then I’m fine with that. Just please set some standards about how close these houses are to parks, and schools, and make them pay some rent to cover some of the costs. But please please please make sure we are informed so we can protect ourselves and more importantly our children.

Yup, we shouldn’t allow sex offenders to live near parks or schools. We know they can’t walk. We should also make people who got a dui live at least 3 blocks from a liquor store. That’ll teach ‘em. But what about the sex offender who hasn’t offended yet or who hasn’t been caught. She might live next door or across the street already. Might be an uncle or your priest. Wow, what if the priest is a sex offender. Should we prohibit them from living near a church. Where should they live? Is that a conundrum? Maybe we should make everyone go through psychological exams to see if they have pervert tendancies and then have them neutered.

Wouldn’t it be better to have those with a DUI live right next door to a liquor store? Then they wouldn’t need to drive. Just thinking.

Guess I hadn’t thought about it that way. So where should the perverts live?

Industrial areas and throw in a c-store and maybe a gym. That should entertain them while keeping them away from potential victims.
