This needs to be revisited… If there is a tornado on the ground South East of Lefor, Do the sirens in Dickinson and South Heart really need to go off?
Every time the sirens cry ” the sky is falling” people are starting to pay less attention to. At this rate when we do have a big storm no will be prepared.
I feel sorry for the Staff and Residents in the nursing homes. Having to be moved out in to the hall because there is a thunderstorm.
BTW. Way to go blowing the Sirens after the core of the storm moved out of the town.

Well, at least they did sound the sirens there.
Around here, they don’t sound the sirens until one of the spotters calls in with Munchkins in the background, wondering what to do about a ‘good witch’ named Glenda.

Anyone who has been here more than 12 months knows William “Jack” Jackson is responsible for how the sirens are currently operated in the city of Dickinson. He complained to the Dickinson City Commission when straightline winds hit the city and no warning was given.
