sounds like another stupid idea coming out of NDSU–how much is this going to cost the taxpayers?

Isn’t China a huge importer of ND goods? Soybeans come to mind.
Rather than focus on the cost to tax payers by itself, what kind of ROI can we expect? I’m betting it is a great investment, but it would be nice to see numbers =)

I think this is an excellent idea. China is a huge trade partner with American and North Dakota. NDSU already works with Chinese institutions in the field of crop sciences. It can’t hurt to help bridge the gap between American and Chinese cultures. However, the devil is in the details. It obviously must be proven to provide a larger benefit than cost before the project is undertaken.
