The Forum states; For example, it’s hard to find a building, business or public place in the Fargo metro area that is not handicapped-accessible.
Not so fast editorial staff. If you were to get yourselves some wheel- chairs and drive around. I am positive you would have to wheel in the streets, as many sidewalks do not have handicapped cutouts. In addition many business still do not adhere to the ADA.
I do a lot of walking and I find many sidewalks in the older sections of downtown Fargo UN accessible for wheelchairs and many are even to deteriorated to even safely walk on them.
I have reported these sidewalks and yes, Fargo has repaired some. However, there are so many more to be repaired, to make Fargo Handicapped Accessible for all handicapped and disabled citizens.
