One of the most iconic landmarks in Jamestown has a new name. The World’s Largest Buffalo will be officially named Dakota Thunder in a ceremony later this summer.

Dakota Thunder? Seriously? It sounds like a minor league baseball team name. I think the committee needs to make an executive decision and rename it.

I don’t want to offend anyone but why was “Benny” one of the finalists, we are not naming a mouse, dog or cat, it’s a big animal. Just wondering because I don’t think it would attract many toursits. Just curious.
