Good grief! Sounds like a good ol’ boy. He must have learned how to be sheriff by watching Boss Hog on the “Dukes of Hazard’! What a loser! We don’t need people like that in law enforcement.

I agree about the ‘good ol’ boy’ network comment, having grown up in that area. However, the unfortunate part is that they’re only 40-50 miles from Bismarck or Jamestown, and the pay is pathetic, so they don’t exactly get the cream of the crop to choose from. Good for the deputy for having the gumption to stand up to this guy! I hope he turns out to be better than the last one. Doesn’t sound like he could get much worse, I guess.
