Hi, Tara. This is Chad at the Star Gazette. Yes, the arch was one of the original examples. The actual design for the arch bridge, though, has changed considerably from previous artwork we have seen. We are trying to get a better quality version of the artwork here. Once we do get it, we will post it.

This is to the council member about being listened to . Now you know what it feels like to have no one listen to your thoughts. Totally normal to all of us when trying to talk to the city.

Tony, I agree with you. The City of Hasings Staff and some of the council members seem to have the same “lack of communication problems” the council member has with the Mn DOT. My experience with the Hastings Engineering Dept. and the 4th ward council rep is as follows: On August 10, 2009 I sent an email to the City of Hastings Engineering Department and copied the 4th Ward council rep. The purpose of the emali was to request a meeting with someone from the engineering staff to discus the purpose and design of a storm water drainage pond located in the 4th ward. I still have not heard back from the engineering dept. and the 4th ward council rep never contacted me to inquire about the results of my request.
