Enger Tower has been an unofficial navigational beacon to ships and boaters fora very long time. If different hues of color are indeed possible after this retrofit, I nominate blue for the week of May 22nd each year, to commemorate National Maritime Day. This day honors those Merchant Mariners that have served and done so much in war and peace time. These men and women
were and are “Do’ers” not “Talkers”. In part, because of this groups work, sacrifice and dedication, the U.S. is the exceptional country that it is. Indeed, the Merchant Marine motto is: “Deeds, not words.”
