The fine was only $1,000? What a joke. I’ve known people who were arrested for DUI’s who have had fines and fees totaling more than that. Apparently driving while impaired without harming anyone is worse than driving sober and running someone over.

Who knows if he was impaired he drove away and was questioned later.
$1000.00 for a hit and run with injuries, seems cheap when compared to other fines.
