   This is why there needs to be better mental health care in this area. The problem is there are few good doctors, and a lot of self important idiots who don’t listen to the patients, but peddle the new drug the drug companies thrust onto them…at the expense of the patients. The good doctors have waiting lists or are so booked getting in is hit or miss. I am saddened to hear of this story, particularly if it was indeed a suicide. Suicide is a preventable cause of death, but so many people judge, mock, or belittle a person who is having problems that it is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S. The sad part is it hits anyone, even children. We need to stop being so negligent of one another and start actually caring about your fellow man. You never know just saying hi how are you to a random stranger could save a life. I know it did mine. I was at the edge and someone showed me I mattered by a simple hello. A simple act of kindness. My heart goes out to this family, and I hope for comfort over the next stage of their lives. Remember it is not your fault. This is so sad. It is high time everybody works together to combat suicide. People have benifits for people with cancer and other diseases but if you are depressed they basically blame you adding more pain and guilt and shame to a person who is already hurting. Suicide is not a weakness…it is a cause of death from a brain disease. So stop judging, learn the signs and please if you or anyone you know is feeling suicidal please get help! The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention puts on walks for the cause in this area and all over the United States. Go to one, you will see this is a problem that gets every race, religion, economic group, gender, class, etc. And chances are it could affect you at some point too.
