With the increase in crime-both rural and metro-is this really the time to make cuts to law enforcement? The economy is getting better, but it is by no means out of the woods. With the high unemployment rate and the continued home foreclosures you will only see more crime. In reading the news from around the state, the home invasions are increasing as are the burglaries to your local businesses. Are your local commissioners really serving the citizens of Nobles County? There are other things that should be looked at before putting your citizens at an increased risk due to lack of officers on your force to patrol and protect you because they want to have a hiring freeze.
