Much has been made of the comments made by U.S. Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, regarding the British Petroleum oil spill. It will be interesting to see if remarks made by one of Minnesota’s U.S. House representatives will get similar exposure and deserved heavy criticism. Continue Reading

This woman is an embarrassment to Minnesotans. I cringe when she makes the media headlines for yet another stupid comment and see the R-MN next to her name. She in no way represents Minnesotans and poorly represents the Republican party.

Stewart roasted her pretty good on The Daily Show last night. She’s been backpedaling from some of her comments since Barton made his “shakedown” comment. The governor of Missippi looks even crazier. I guess I chalk it up to politicians never wanting to agree with the “other” party no matter how correct the “other” party is, even if they were touting the same idea two days ago. Both major parties are guilty of it. It’s frustrating, but the good news is I get a laugh out of Stewart pointing out their idiocy.

The governor of Missippi asked, and I paraphrase, “How can we expect BP to pay for these people’s losses if they have all this money in escrow?” Yes, how do we expect them to pay for these losses if they have money set aside in an account to pay for these losses? Inquiring minds want to know!
