Chris is a fighter! I pray that he continues to heal physically, and that his family and LEO family continues to heal emotionally. What a toll this tragic event has taken on all of them. . . .

The strength Chris and EMily have shown through all this is just amazing. I hope he finally heals and is able to catch a break.

UGH! I am sick of hearing of this man suffering so much. He shouldn’t have to hurt like this because of some moron
I wish I could do something to help…I wish him the best and his family, and we need to pray for him to get well soon.

Hmmm, I’m just curious as to who would give a “thumbs down” to us praying for Deputy Dewey . . . . and why someone would do such a thing.

I look at this Deputy and when I see his picture, I wonder, who could shoot this man, he looks like a very freindly kind of guy you can talk to. What will happen if it turns for the worse to the guy that shot him, will there be more justice handed out. Already Officer Duewy is suffering and he is a young man, now he has seizures, man that is dangerous, it is not a good sign. Why are you people Doctoring up his health, he is in very bad health. You focus on the poor Deputy but I want justice handed out to the man that shot him for no reason, I want to see that guy rot in Jail till his bones crumble for taking away someones health and puttin Officer Dewey in a constant state of emergency, this seizure I am sorry is a bad sign on his health.

@mcalleyboy – the trial for the suspected shooter begins in August. Believe me, we are all praying for justice as well. But right now while that’s on hold our focus is on Chris getting better. And to address what you said about him having a seizure being a bad sign, it is, but Chris has been through it before and will come out on top once again. He’s fought through so much already and I am certain he will continue to do so.

I just read today that his condition is fatal and he is in hospice and they are making him comfortable until he passes. What a tragic, sad, and unnecessary event.
