Sheep allowed as mowers in New Ulm, Minn., industrial areas

NEW ULM, Minn. — The owner of an auto salvage business in New Ulm has found a natural way to control weeds growing in his junkyard: sheep.
The Mankato Free Press reports that the New Ulm City Council unanimously repealed its in-town sheep ban on Tuesday after years of requests by Southside Auto Salvage owner Mike Lang. Starting next month, sheep will be allowed to graze in fenced areas around industrial zones. Continue reading…

What a good idea! I think I’ll get some sheep too. I’ll bet goats would work just as well, or cows! Mooooo! I seriously would have no problems with living near these animals, if they were fenced in.
